Advanced Custom Fields version 5.8.13 is now available. Today’s release is quite small, but contains some important tweaks for maximum compatibility with WordPress version 5.5, which we hope you enjoy.

WordPress version 5.5 introduces new markup, buttons and styling to our beloved metaboxes. We’re thrilled to see accessibility improvements for metabox reordering, but feel the overall styling falls short.
To help address these concerns, we’ve included some extra styling, and hope you and your clients appreciate it 👍.
The new WordPress version also introduces new and renamed block categories. For developers building with ACF Blocks, please note these changes are not breaking, but may result in your block appearing in a different category than expected – for example, a block set to appear in the “Formatting” category will now appear under “Text”.
Here is a visual guide showing the changes from WordPress 5.4 to WordPress 5.5.
