I’m proud to announce that after 5 months of hard work, the brand new Advanced Custom Fields 5 is open for public testing!
This new version has been completely re-written from the ground up to solve many of the limitations that V4 suffered (due to it’s growth over a 2 year period). There are lots of new features including new fields, settings, designs and functionality! All of which focus on creating a cleaner and more powerful interface for WordPress websites.
ACF5 is nearly complete and has already undergone weeks of private testing. This testing proved very successful, so now it’s time to open the repository up to the public – you!

Please remember that this is a beta, and some things may go wrong. Please don’t use install ACF5 beta on a live website and always backup your data before upgrading from ACF4.
