What a fantastic way to end the week; hitting the 1 million downloads milestone! I can’t thank enough the great developers and users who have taken part in this awesome project, without you, this plugin would not be where it is today.
It’s crazy to think what started out as a simple custom field plugin for WordPress offering only a handful of field types, has evolved into a fully fleshed interface used by developers and clients around the world! Honestly, I’m just glad you like it!
To say thanks, I have 2 announcements to make:
1. There will be a party
Yes. There will be a party. Not confirmed yet, but somewhere in Melbourne in the next coming months, I will be organizing a ‘moderately’ large party. You can expect some talented musicians, bar priced drinks, and potentially a speech.
2. Say hello to the new support forum
Boom! If you thought it was strange that the ACF plugin had not been receiving daily or weekly updates, you were right to be suspicious. I’ve actually been working for the past 3 weeks on an all new, decked out support forum!

- Visual progress of a support topic as it get’s solved
- Ability to mark replies as solutions
- A SEARCH THAT WORKS!
When does it go live?
The support forum is currently in beta and will be for the next week or so. In this time, I encourage you to sign up and start using the new forum. Please note that all the data will be kept (after we move it from beta to live) although I may remove some topics regarding support forum feedback / issues.
If you notice anything wrong with the forum, please search to see if another user has submitted a topic, then feel free to create a new topic and report the bug.
