We can’t wait to release ACF 5 as a free update for the wordpress.org community, but know all too well the feelings when seeing a major update is available 🙈.
ACF 5 has been thoroughly tried and tested for years within ACF PRO. It is more than ready for release, but we have chosen to add a simple opt-in update ahead of schedule to allow you some time to give us your thoughts and feedback on the new version!

You may have noticed a new update for Advanced Custom Fields is available. This version adds in Early Access functionality for ACF 5 and fixes a few bugs too.
